Under its present ownership since 1970, Smith Concrete has grown to include plants in Athens, Belpre, Cambridge and Marietta, Ohio, as well as two portable dry-batch plants.  Smith Concrete is well-equipped to handle all types and sizes of projects.  In 2001, one of Smith’s portable plants produced concrete for a six-mile paving project on I-77 in Ohio while the other produced over 50,000 cubic yards of concrete for two gas-fired power plants that are under construction in Washington County .

Smith Concrete's fleet of rear discharge mixer trucks possess an average age of 6.7 years.  Its team of ready-mix drivers has an average tenure of almost six years experience with five drivers attaining 20 years of service. Its management team averages nearly 10 years of tenure with Smith Concrete and over 16 years of industry experience.
